Recently it has been shown that somatostatin (SST) might be of therapeutic value in the treatment of active Graves’ophthalmopathy (GO). SST and somatostatin receptors (sst) transcripts are expressed and functional in cultured orbital fibroblasts deriving from GO patients (FGO).
